Radiographic Inspection of Sonar Dome Rubber Windows   2

Background
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is issuing a firm fixed price Supply-type contract for the Radiographic Inspection of Sonar Dome Rubber Windows on a U.S. Vessel, in support of the Ship Repair Facility Japan. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with inspection standards and safety protocols during the radiographic inspection process.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

1. Be NAVSEA approved for conducting inspections as per Section 7 of Reference 2.2.

2. Access US NAVY Base Yokosuka, Japan without a Government escort.

3. Provide own Marine Chemist Services.

4. Check into and out of RMMCO office upon entering and concluding work at SRF-JRMC Yokosuka, Japan.

5. Accomplish requirements of 009-112 regarding prevention of radiographic-inspection ionizing radiation hazards.

6. Perform radiographic inspections on the SDRW as specified in Reference 2.2, ensuring no radiography is conducted without specific permission from SRF-JRMC RSO/ARSO.

7. Submit an illustration showing the 2mR/hr boundary prior to starting radiography operations, along with calculations proving its location.

8. Provide written notification of intention to commence operations to SRF-JRMC (C-106RSO) no later than 14 working days prior to commencement, including details such as date, time, location, type of radiography performed (gamma or x-ray), and purpose.

Onboard in Yokosuka, Japan.
