This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to award a contract to procure Radio Frequency Blanking Units (RFBU) production units and logistics support documentation. EA-18G, F/A-18E, and F/A-18F currently have Enhanced Interference Blanking Units (EIBU) that are obsolete and need to be replaced. The RFBU procured will be a form, fit, function replacement of the EIBU that addresses obsolescence with options to provide growth. The anticipated period of performance for this effort is twelve (18) months from the date of award.

Mnemonics has the familiarity with the design, manufacturing knowledge and experience, configuration expertise, integration of RFBUs experience, and the technical data that is critical to support the requirement for additional RFBUs and logistic support documentation. As such, Mnemonics is the only firm that can provide these supplies and services within the required timeframe.

THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
