RFP 36C24825R0136, AMENDMENT 0001 RFP 36C24825R0136, AMENDMENT 0001 PURPOSE: Amendment 0001 issued for the following reasons: Provide answers to RFI questions, Make PWS changes, Incorporate PWS Container List in MS Excel Format, Incorporate PWS, Document Shredding, dated 07/16/2025, Rev 1, Revise Section B, Pricing Schedule. 1. RFI QUESTIONS and Answers: Incorporate Amendment 0001, Attachment 1, RFI Questions and Answers, dated 08/09/2025. 2. PWS, DOCUMENT SHREDDING SERVICE, Dated 07/16/2025 CHANGES: Make the below PWS changes as follows: A. PWS Para 2.1, Page 2, DESCRIPTION / SCOPE / OBJECTIVE : Change From: The types of paper will be co-mingled and will include office paper, any color any type, labels, post-it notes, forms, etc. This list is not all-inclusive and may include carbon copy printer rolls, compact disks (CD), floppy disks, other storage media, and limited quantities of incidentals such as staples, paper clips, envelopes, file folders, newspapers, rubber bands and other types of paper. All shredded material must be used for recycling purposes and cannot be sold as packing material. All shredding shall take place at Government facilities or grounds and shall be witnessed by a VA employee. Location of where to place the lockable containers at each facility will be provided upon award of contract. The lockable containers will have informative labels to aid in identification and use. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), is seeking proposals for Document Shredding Services to support the James A. Haley VA Hospital (JAHVH) in Tampa, FL. This contract aims to ensure the secure destruction of sensitive documents and materials, which is critical for maintaining the confidentiality of veteran information and compliance with federal regulations regarding data protection.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, containers, vehicles, equipment, materials, and management necessary for document collection, removal, and shredding services. The services include:
- Routine shredding of sensitive documents including office paper, labels, forms, and other storage media.
- All shredded material must be recycled and cannot be sold as packing material.
- Shredding must occur on government premises and be witnessed by a VA employee.
- The contractor shall deliver lockable bins for sensitive documents within 14 days of contract award and provide additional containers as needed.
- All paper must be crosscut shredded before leaving the facility grounds.
- The contractor is responsible for visual inspections of locks on containers and replacing any damaged locks.
