Document Translation Services
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19, is seeking to procure Document Translation Services in support of the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC), Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA), and Veteran’s Family Member Programs (VFMP). The purpose of the contract is to provide translations of all original documentation submitted to the claims processing center that supports Medical Insurance and health benefit programs for Veterans, spouses, and children of permanently and totally disabled Veterans living in the United States and foreign countries. The IVC, VHA, VFMP Office provides medical insurance for the spouses and dependent children of permanently and totally disabled Veterans living in a foreign country, as well as health benefits to veterans with VA rated service-connected conditions that are residing or traveling abroad. The Contractor shall work with the Program Office (PO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to provide translations of all original documentation. The IVC, VHA, VFMP Office is solely responsible for reviewing the Contractor’s recommendations and making decisions concerning the formulation of policy.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide translations for common and exotic languages. The services required include translating documents such as claims, medical notes, correspondence, etc., into English or from English into another language. The translations should be correct, clear, concise, formatted to match up with the original documentation, accompanied by legible word counts, and returned within a reasonable time frame of 5 - 7 business days. Additionally, electronic copies of translations are to be returned via VA Network electronic fo.

Period of Performance
The period of performance has a one-year base period from 02-01-2023 to 01-31-2023 with four one-year option periods.
