Court Reporter Services VARO 318 Base + 4 option years   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Winston-Salem Regional Office has an ongoing requirement for court reporting and transcription services. The goal of this contract is to provide qualified National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Court Reporters to support the VBA's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office, ensuring accurate documentation of hearings and related proceedings.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide on-site court reporter services between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the VBA Winston-Salem Regional Office (VARO). The services include:

1. Providing 64 hours of court reporter services and producing an estimated 2,752 pages of transcripts annually.
2. Maintaining all required licensure/certification and proficiency in operating audio recording devices and general office equipment.
3. Recording and transcribing services on an 'as ordered' basis for hearings, depositions, testimonies, etc.
4. Assigning the same reporter to lengthy proceedings when requested by VARO.
5. Delivering original transcripts, copies, condensed transcripts, exhibits, and printable PDF files as required, with specific delivery timelines for regular (14 days) and expedited (5 days) requests.
6. Ensuring all notes and records are delivered to the ordering office upon completion of the transcripts.
7. Charging a cancellation fee only if notified less than 24 hours before the scheduled service.

Period of Performance
The contract consists of a one-year base period with four one-year option periods, totaling up to five years.
