Background
The Orlando VA Healthcare System, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, requires courier services to facilitate the transportation of medical supplies, pharmacy items, laboratory specimens, and other essential items between various VA and non-VA locations.

The goal of this contract is to ensure timely and efficient delivery of these items to support healthcare operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform Courier Services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The services include:
1. Pick-up and drop-off of medical supplies and laboratory specimens from/to multiple locations including:
- Orlando VA Medical Center at Lake Nona
- Lake Baldwin VAMC
- Daytona Beach VAMC
- Viera VA Health Care Center
- Tavares VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic
- Kissimmee VA CBOC
- Clermont VA CBOC
- Deltona VA CBOC
- Palm Bay VA CBOC
- James A Haley Veterans’ Hospital.
2. Deliveries to non-VA locations such as Florida Hospital Laboratories and Citrus Memorial Hospital.
3. Emergency trips requiring delivery within 2.5 hours and infrequent trips typically needed the same or next day.
4. Compliance with all applicable records management laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on October 1, 2024, and ends on September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including Orlando FL (Lake Nona), Daytona Beach FL, Melbourne FL (Viera), Tavares FL, Kissimmee FL, Clermont FL, Deltona FL, Palm Bay FL, and Tampa FL.
