Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking courier services for the Anchorage VA Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The contractor will provide courier services for the transportation of clinical laboratory specimens, administrative paperwork, imaging CDs, and other small items between various locations within the Municipality of Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The contract is a single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) five-year contract.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide courier services during normal hours, unscheduled trips, and emergent trips. Specific tasks include picking up clinical laboratory specimens from designated locations and transporting them to the AVAHS Laboratory, as well as providing courier services within a 40-mile radius of the AVAHS Clinic. The contractor is responsible for maintaining security during transport and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
Additionally, the contractor must comply with contract startup requirements, provide qualified personnel, and maintain a quality control plan.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 1, 2022, to August 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the Municipality of Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in Alaska.
