Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to provide courier services for the George E. Wahlen Salt Lake City VA Health Care System and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
The goal of this contract is to ensure timely and secure transportation of various medical and administrative items, supporting the VA's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide daily, weekly, and as-needed courier services, including the transportation of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, diagnostic specimens, prostheses equipment, office supplies, mail, sterile and contaminated instruments, laboratory specimens (blood/body fluids), housekeeping supplies, equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers, x-rays, and other required items.

Services will include:
- Daily pickups and deliveries between the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center (SLC VAMC) and CBOCs from Monday to Friday.
- A dedicated weekly route for pickups and deliveries within a 50-mile radius of SLC VAMC.
- All pickups and deliveries must occur on the same day without overnight storage in vehicles or buildings.
- Compliance with federal regulations regarding information security (HIPAA) and handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintenance of detailed logs for all courier activities including times, dates, and item counts.
- Attendance at post-award meetings with government representatives to discuss performance.

Base year plus four option years.
