Software License, PIV Remote Access, & Professional Service Maintenance   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to renew a contract for software licenses, PIV remote access, and professional services and maintenance to support the VA San Diego Community Care Service. The goal of this contract is to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient care through automation technologies.

The Ephesoft Transact Software will be utilized for automating the processing of incoming faxes, while Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will streamline various routine tasks, allowing staff to focus on higher-value work.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Maintain and support the Ephesoft Transact Software, which automates document processing by identifying incoming faxes, extracting key information, and organizing files for clinical review.
2. Implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that automate repetitive tasks using software bots, improving accuracy and reducing human error.
3. Ensure that the automation processes comply with regulatory standards and enhance workflow efficiency in the Community Care service.
4. Provide ongoing training and technical support for both Ephesoft and RPA solutions.
5. Deliver operational efficiencies by enabling OCR capabilities for documents from RightFax and scanned paper documents, classifying documents, extracting metadata, and facilitating easy entry of missing metadata by operators.

Period of Performance
The contract will span multiple years with a base period followed by four option years, allowing for continued support and enhancements as needed.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be at the VA San Diego Healthcare System located at 3350 La Jolla Dr., San Diego CA 92161.
