R2 Tree Planting Support IDIQ

Background
The Rocky Mountain Region (R2) of the U.S. Forest Service is seeking contractors to provide planting and related services on lands administered within its boundaries.
The goal of this contract is to restore forested cover on lands that have been disturbed by fire, insects, diseases, harvest, or other causes, in accordance with land and resource management plans.

Work Details
Contractors will be responsible for various tasks including:
- Planting trees on disturbed lands where forest cover is desired.
- Providing tree transport to planting units.
- Handling and caring for seedlings, including dipping procedures for bareroot stock.
- Ensuring access to planting sites, which may include navigating locked gates and utilizing road access or walk-in units.
- Managing orders, delivery, and returns of seedlings and materials.
- Utilizing equipment such as hand tools and power augers for planting operations.
- Following safety protocols during all operations.
Specific locations for planting will be identified in task orders issued under the contract.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the Rocky Mountain Region as specified in task orders.
