Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Montana-Dakotas is undertaking urgent repairs to its Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) security systems. This initiative is critical to restore compliance with Federal physical security standards and ensure the safety and security of facilities housing Federal employees. The agency has identified an inoperable security system as a significant vulnerability that compromises protective measures against unauthorized access and potential threats.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Immediate repair of non-functional physical security systems, which encompass access control, intrusion detection, and alarm monitoring.

2. Development of definitive specifications, drawings, or data to support future competitive procurements.

3. Engagement of a Physical Security Specialist to assist with ongoing maintenance and preventive actions to ensure system reliability.

4. Preparation for future competitive acquisitions by breaking out major components and subsystems for competitive purchasing, targeting completion by Q4 FY26.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed immediately upon approval and will continue until the necessary repairs are completed. Future procurements are anticipated to begin by Q4 FY26.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in facilities managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Montana-Dakotas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate qualifications in integrated security systems, particularly those familiar with Federal physical security standards. Experience with similar projects and the ability to provide ongoing maintenance and preventive actions are essential. Specific certifications or licenses related to physical security may also be required.
