R/V Greeley Engines Repower

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is seeking a contractor to provide supervision, labor, and materials for the repowering of the R/V Greeley. The goal of this contract is to replace both main diesel engines and engine control systems, service reduction gears, renew propeller shaft mechanical seals, install an additional engine room hatch, and conduct trials.

This project is part of the Academy's mission to maintain operational readiness and ensure the safety and efficiency of its vessels.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
1. Replace both main engines and electronic control systems by removing current Cummins/Mercuiser QSD 2.8EI 220 EI Marine Diesel Engines with Twin Disc MG-5050A Reduction Gears.
2. Supply and install two new bobtail Yanmar 4LV-230 marine diesel engines with new engine mounts.
3. Replace both Port and Starboard damper plates with new ones prior to mounting reduction gears.
4. Install new two-station electronic control systems for the newly installed diesel engines.
5. Service and inspect Twin Disc MG-5050A Reduction Gears, including oil analysis inspection.
6. Install new PSS Mechanical Shaft Seals as per specifications provided by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
7. Install Freeman Marine Hatch (pre-purchased) on the main deck with necessary preparations and modifications.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability to meet all requirements in the Statement of Work, including engine and control system replacement, reduction gear service, shaft seal renewal, hatch installation, and sea trials.
