Background
The U.S. Department of Energy, Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) intends to award a sole-source contract to Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) for continued scientific, engineering, technical, professional, financial, and administrative support services. The contract is intended to facilitate the completion of the ongoing competitive acquisition for the requirement. ARPA-E has conducted extensive market research and other internal reviews in preparation for the competitive acquisition.

Work Details
The incumbent contractor currently provides support to federal personnel in strategic planning for technology programs and activities, processes associated with awarding federal financial assistance, financial/cost analysis, project management, technology transfer and outreach, budget and invoice analysis, as well as operational administrative tasks such as travel and human resources functions. Additionally, the contractor offers technical expertise in highly specialized areas of energy-related technologies such as plasma physics and nuclear engineering.
The contract also involves providing support in highly specialized areas of energy-related technologies.

Period of Performance
The contract has a three-month period of performance with three one-month option periods. ARPA-E is committed to completing evaluations and making a selection no later than summer 2023.
