Technical Support Services for USGS EROS   2

Background
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, established in 1971, is responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing data from Landsat satellites and other sources. EROS has evolved into a leading science center for land remote sensing, operating multiple Landsat missions and maintaining the National Satellite Land Remote Sensing Data Archive.

The goal of this contract is to provide technical support services to assist EROS in fulfilling its mission through a collaborative environment that combines government and contractor expertise.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of technical support services including: software development, systems engineering, project management, computer operations/systems administration, network engineering, satellite data acquisition, scanning of aerial photography, long-term data preservation, data distribution and management (ingest, archive, access), application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for public services improvement, and scientific applications of satellite remote sensing data.

Specific tasks include:
- Supporting satellite operations for Landsat missions.
- Conducting research on remotely sensed data.
- Developing techniques for land information applications.
- Providing user assistance regarding remote sensing technologies.
- Performing ground system operations including satellite tracking and telemetry.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal policies and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from December 2, 2025 to December 1, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center located at 47914 252nd St, Sioux Falls, SD 57198. Some tasks may also be conducted off-site depending on program requirements.
