Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking proposals for armed security services at its Wilkes-Barre Direct Operations Center (WBDOC) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The SSA's mission is to provide security and protection for its facilities and personnel.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, vehicles, and equipment to provide armed guard services at the SSA WBDOC. Tasks include access control, screening of personnel and vehicles, mobile patrols, traffic control, operation of security equipment such as X-ray scanners and metal detectors, and maintaining a 24/7 Security Control Center.

The contractor must also provide training in firearms handling, less than lethal weapons, CPR and first aid, and screening procedures. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for quality control and reporting deficiencies.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a transition period from 06/01/2021 to 07/31/2021, followed by a base year from 08/01/2021 to 07/31/2022. There are four option years: Option Year I from 08/01/2022 to 07/31/2023; Option Year II from 08/01/2023 to 07/31/2024; Option Year III from 08/01/2024 to 07/31/2025; Option Year IV from 08/01/2025 to 07/31/2026. An additional option to extend services is available from 08/01/2026 to 02/28/2027.
