Request for Proposal (RFP) Low-Level Waste and Mixed Low Level Waste Disposal   4

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center is issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) to qualified interested parties to provide for permanent disposal of the following waste types: Class A, B and C LLW and MLLW, 11e(2) byproduct material, Technology-Enhanced Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (TENORM), and sealed sources, as defined by the Atomic Energy Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act, and their implementing regulations. Disposal is to be performed in accordance with the referenced laws and regulations in a permitted and licensed facility. The waste material will originate from Federal facilities and/or be derived from Federal clean-up and remediation activities. The Government intends to award one or more contracts per Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) resulting from this RFP to the responsible Offeror(s) whose proposal(s) conform to the RFP. The IDIQ is anticipa ted to be for a period of five years. Firm-fixed price task orders will be issued for the permanent disposal of specific quantities of waste The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562211; size standard $12.5M.
