Background
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) is responsible for disseminating weather forecasts and warnings through the NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) network. This network is crucial for delivering direct warnings into private homes for natural disasters and Non-Weather Emergency Messages (NWEM).

The NWR system operates 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted transmission capability to maximize broadcast coverage across Alabama, where over 95% of the population is within service areas of NWR transmitters. The contract aims to provide continuous preventative and unscheduled maintenance services for this critical system.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide preventative and corrective maintenance services for nine NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio (NWR) transmitter equipment sites located in Alabama. The services include:
1. Corrective maintenance to ensure all transmitter equipment is operational at all times.
2. Preventative maintenance to proactively address potential issues before they affect service.
3. Adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) guidelines, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
4. Coordination with NOAA and APTV to maintain optimal performance of the NWR network, which plays a vital role in emergency alert systems.

Period of Performance
