IT Acquisition Services for AQD   2

Background
The justification is issued under the authority for the acquisition of IT services for the AQD (Acquisition Division). The goal is to ensure continuity of subject matter expertise and support for ongoing tasks related to Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions, which are critical to the Department's Internet and Telephony posture.

Work Details
The contract involves providing IT acquisition services, specifically focusing on maintaining continuity in subject matter expertise during a transition period. Key tasks include:

1. Supporting Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions task orders with subject matter experts (SMEs).
2. Ensuring data transition from legacy contracts without significant downtime.
3. Conducting market research to identify potential vendors and assess fair and reasonable labor rates.
4. Preparing modifications to extend services until a re-compete can be awarded, ensuring that ongoing tasks are not disrupted.

Period of Performance
The contract modification will extend services for an additional 12 months, allowing sufficient time for transition and competition before the re-compete is awarded, estimated no later than April 30, 2025.
