This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56-66; 1 April 2013.
The DoD/AFMOA Hearing Center of Excellence (HCE) is seeking specialized expertise for professional and administrative support services in the areas of: (1) Program Management Support Services; (2) Studies and Analysis; (3) Business Process Improvement; (4) Information Management and Information Technology; (5) Medical Supply Chain and Logistics Management. These specialized services will improve the awareness of noise hazards; gain great acceptance by all military personnel to protect hearing under noisy peacetime (both on and off-duty) and wartime conditions; develop clinical best practices to treat and rehabilitate hearing loss (tinnitus) through clinical and research expertise; and build a DoD and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hearing loss and auditory system injury data registry.
