Background
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting market research to gather information on commercially available QUADCON Dry Freight ISO Containers. The goal is to consolidate various types of quadcon containers under a single contract for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) to facilitate life-cycle sustainment efforts and support future systems requiring these containers.

Work Details
The RFI seeks a variety of QUADCON Dry Freight ISO Containers in both 6'10" and 8' heights, which must be compatible with military and commercial transportation assets. Key specifications include:
1. Capability for intermodal transport and compatibility with shipboard handling and stowage.
2. Indefinite unused shelf life.
3. Minimum in-use service life of fifteen years.
4. Lockable, reusable, and weatherproof design.
5. Installation capability for bins, shelves, or other inserts.
6. Operational temperature range from -25°F to 125°F.
7. Lightweight with venting capability.
8. Compliance with ANSI/ISO standards for construction and dimensions.
9. Compatibility with containerships of the merchant fleet.
10. Cargo access through various configurations (doors on ends/sides/top).
11. Compatibility with U.S. Navy amphibious ships and commercial ships.
12. Four-way fork-handling capability for Marine Corps equipment.
13. External dimensions conforming to a 20-foot ISO envelope.
14. No special tools required for internal installations/removals.
15. Compliance with U.S. highway legal limits for containers and prime movers.
16. Meeting Gabarit International de Chargement outline diagram for rail transport.
17. Transportable by Marine Corps heavy lift cargo rotary wing aircraft and Air Force prime mission aircraft, meeting MIL-STD-1791 for air transport.
