Background
The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) is seeking Lab Routine and Unscheduled Courier Services to support its mission of providing quality healthcare to veterans.
This solicitation is aimed at acquiring a reliable courier service that can handle both scheduled and emergency pickups and deliveries of laboratory specimens and related materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Laboratory Courier Services, which include:
1. Routine scheduled courier services available Monday to Saturday, excluding federal holidays.
2. Unscheduled emergency (STAT) courier services available 24/7, including all federal holidays.
3. Transportation of various items such as laboratory specimen containers, lab reagents, medical supplies, sensitive documents, and electronic media devices.
4. The contractor must maintain a strict schedule for routine pickups/drop-offs as outlined in the provided Courier Route Schedule. Failure to adhere to this schedule may lead to contract termination.
5. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of patient information during transport and must comply with HIPAA regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with options for four additional years extending through March 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612-4745, and its outlying clinics.
