Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to acquire medical transcription services for the VA New England Healthcare System, specifically for VISN 1 Facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide off-site medical transcription services that include digital dictation, traditional medical transcription, and correction editing services. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide off-site medical transcription services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. Services must meet prescribed turnaround times (TAT) and utilize vendor-supplied dictation/transcription equipment. The contractor will transcribe reports using appropriate formats and upload completed reports to the VA's VISTA system.

The dictated material includes highly technical medical terminology requiring at least three years of experience in specialized vocabularies across various medical fields such as cardiology, neurology, surgery, etc. Types of reports include discharge summaries, procedure reports, history and physical examination reports, radiology reports, and more. The contractor must ensure that all requested jobs are returned by 3:30 p.m. EST each day and provide training for their staff on VA systems and security requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on April 1, 2025, with a base period followed by options for additional periods.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed remotely for eight VA Medical Centers within VISN 1 located in New England.
