Background
This contract is a follow-on to FSS order 36C25522N0255, which was terminated for convenience on March 4, 2025, by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Proper justifications and approvals have been obtained since the termination. The order will be issued under the National VA Health Information Management Services (HIMS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), which is set to expire on June 30, 2026. The National BPAs were competitive, resulting in three awards.

Work Details
The purpose of this order is to secure medical coding services that include assigning the appropriate International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System Level II codes based on electronic health record documentation of outpatient, surgical, and inpatient care provided at Veterans Health Administration facilities.

Additionally, the contractor will conduct coding audits of inpatient and outpatient episodes as requested by these facilities. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary resources to accomplish the deliverables outlined in the Performance Work Statement.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed until June 30, 2026, aligning with the expiration date of the National BPA.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at or under the auspices of Veterans Health Administration facilities, including community outpatient clinics as applicable.
