Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for a mobile lithotripsy trailer and service to support the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. The goal of the contract is to provide a turnkey mobile medical unit designed for Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures, which are essential for treating kidney stones non-surgically. This service aims to enhance patient care by offering efficient and effective treatment options within the community.

Work Details
The contractor must provide a self-contained mobile medical trailer equipped with all necessary equipment, including a C-arm for fluoroscopic imaging, a patient table, and a lithotripter. The contractor will also supply qualified personnel, including a Registered Nurse (RN) for moderate sedation and a Radiology Technologist certified to operate the C-arm.

Services include delivering and setting up the mobile unit at designated VA property locations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The contractor will perform approximately 62 ESWL procedures per year on a scheduled basis without billing patients directly; costs will be charged to the Salisbury VA Health Care System at predetermined rates. Additionally, the contractor must adhere to infection control policies and provide necessary training certifications for staff.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on May 18, 2026, and includes multiple option years extending through May 17, 2031.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Kernersville Health Care Center located at 1695 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, NC 27284.
