Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to procure autotransfusion services for the Kansas City VA Medical Center (VAMC). The goal of this contract is to provide on-site autotransfusion services to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring high-quality care that meets or exceeds national standards established by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel and services for onsite autotransfusion services at the Kansas City VAMC. This includes:
- Providing a minimum of four key personnel who are credentialed and available for scheduling.
- Delivering autotransfusion services that meet state-of-the-art standards in a civilian medical treatment facility.
- Ensuring that all care provided meets or exceeds recognized national standards.
- Performing daily checks on the operating room schedule for procedures requiring autotransfusionist services.
- Coordinating maintenance and repair calls for VA-owned equipment and maintaining records of such activities.
- Preparing and operating autotransfusion pumps during surgical procedures, including generating records of transfusion data.
- Documenting treatment plans in patient clinical records within 24 hours of initiating treatment, including patient identification, treating physician details, pertinent history, physical findings, recommended treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base year from April 13, 2026, to April 12, 2027, with four one-year options extending through April 12, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on-site at the Kansas City VA Medical Center located at 4801 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64128-2224.
