Solicitation for After-Hours Psychiatry Services in support of the Lexington VA Medical Center
Background
The Lexington VA Medical Center is seeking to procure After-Hours Psychiatry Services to support its mission of providing high-quality healthcare to veterans. The goal of this contract is to ensure that psychiatric care is available during after-hours, including weekends and federal holidays, thereby enhancing the overall mental health services provided to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide onsite, on-call, and call-back psychiatry services as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely psychiatric evaluations and treatment for patients at the facility.
- Ensuring that all contracted physicians are licensed and board-certified in psychiatry.
- Maintaining standards of care that meet or exceed those established by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Joint Commission.
- Participating in acute psychiatric rounds and consultations during weekends and federal holidays.
- Being available for virtual on-call coverage during specified hours, with a requirement to respond within 15 minutes by phone and be onsite within 60 minutes if needed.
- Completing all necessary documentation in compliance with VA policies, including medical records management as per HIPAA regulations.
