Description

The Contractor shall provide chemotherapy preparation services for patient use for the Amarillo VA Medical Center. The contractor must be a U.S. based company capable of providing chemotherapy preparation in CETA CAG certified primary engineering control and secondary engineering control environment. The contractor must be able to provide next day delivery of compounded chemotherapy preparations.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for chemotherapy preparation services for patient use at the Amarillo VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure that patients receive timely and safe chemotherapy preparations in compliance with established standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide chemotherapy preparation services, including:

1. Preparing chemotherapeutic preparations pursuant to medication orders from VA Oncologists or Hematologists in a CETA CAG certified environment.

2. Next day delivery of compounded chemotherapy preparations to the Amarillo VA Medical Center via a contracted carrier.

3. Daily shift sign-off to include a summary of outstanding issues for follow-up by VA Pharmacy staff.

4. Monthly reports detailing activities under the contract, including the number of orders fulfilled.

5. Compliance with all applicable policies and standards, including those set by the Joint Commission and maintaining competency training for all staff involved in service delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a five-year ordering period from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Amarillo VA Healthcare System, Pharmacy Services located at 6010 W Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106.
