Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking neuromonitoring services for the Lexington VA Health Care System (LVAHCS) in Kentucky. The contractor will be responsible for providing complete neurological monitoring services during neurosurgical procedures in the Operating Suites of the VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. The goal is to meet and comply with all JCAHO Safety and Quality Assurance guidelines and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide complete neurological monitoring services onsite to the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Lexington VA Health Care System (LVAHCS). This includes operating and maintaining equipment, supplies, and labor of on-site qualified technicians to perform intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) services in support of both neuro and vascular surgeries performed at the LVAHCS. The neuromonitoring service will require approximately four hours per session, twice per week, for 50 weeks per year. The service will be required during standard business hours Monday – Friday between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm. The place of performance is at the Lexington VA Health Care System (LVAHCS) at 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502.

Period of Performance
The base period for the contract is from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. Additionally, there are four optional ordering periods: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024; January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025; January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026; and January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services shall be provided on site at VAMC 1101 Veterans Dr., Lexington, KY 40502.
