The Contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Gastroenterology Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home Tennessee (hereinafter referred to as VAMC). The Contractor s physician(s) care shall cover the range of Gastroenterology Physician services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons (ABPS). Place of Performance: Services shall be provided on site, VAMC Mountain Home, Pricing Instructions: The offeror is instructed to edit the number of sub-CLINs to correspond with the number of key personnel submitted for the contract line item number (CLIN). Affiliate Offerors shall include the title of the personnel submitted. Other commercial health care Offerors shall identify by title/position or level of experience the key personnel submitted. Also, renumber sub-CLINs if adding or removing Key Personnel. The offeror is instructed to include all other than price and cost information supporting the proposed price as directed in Instructions to Offerors addendum to 52.212-1 (beginning on Page 89) and/or Section D- Contract Documents, Exhibits, or attachments, VA Directive 1663 Appendix B. The Contractor shall provide enough appropriately qualified physicians to be credentialed and privileged to cover the 0.8 FTE requirement. One FTE is defined by VA as a minimum of 80 hours every two weeks and does not include holidays.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking Gastroenterologist Physician Services for the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center and the Mountain Home VA Healthcare Systems. The services are to be provided in accordance with Title 38 USC 8153, Health Care Resources (HCR) sharing Authority and VA Directive 1663 in conjunction with VAAR Part 873. The Contractor will be responsible for providing 2.0 FTE Board Certified /Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician Services on site at the specified locations.

Work Details
The Contractor's responsibilities include providing clinical gastroenterology services, including colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures, patient care documentation, discharge education, and participation in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings.

The Contractor's physician(s) are also required to comply with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to Privacy, Confidentiality, and HIPAA.

The services are to be performed at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, 99 Veteran’s Way, Mountain Home (Johnson City), Tennessee 37684.
