Off-Site Dental Lab Services - Erie

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source. The Reference Number is 36C24421Q1115. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, intends to award a sole source contract for offsite Dental Lab Services to meet security, training, and turn around times at the Erie VA Medical Center in Erie, PA. The newly awarded offsite Dental contract is being terminated and it is in the best interest of the Government to not to delay Veteran Healthcare Services. This recent termination has determined the urgency of this sole source award. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision and all other resources required to deliver dental lab services to include work by qualified dental lab personnel, materials, repairs, and finished products, for and pertaining to the items listed in the schedule, in accordance with the contract documents. The contracted dental lab will fulfill the standards set by our current responsiveness to the Veterans of the Erie VAMC population as determined by current standards of customer satisfaction or established wait times for dental products. The contractor must be capable of meeting and maintaining the Turn-Around Times (TAT) stated in the Statement of Work. In accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 5.207(c) (16) (ii), the proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation that shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
