UM Reference Lab Testing Notice of Intent to Sole Source

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to award a contract in support of the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. The goal of this contract is to provide essential stat laboratory testing services for patients at the Ann Arbor VAMC. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The University of Michigan, as they are deemed the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the agency's requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing stat laboratory testing services for patients at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center. This includes but is not limited to:

- Conducting various laboratory tests as requested by medical staff.
- Ensuring timely processing and reporting of test results.
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Providing necessary support and communication with VA medical personnel regarding test procedures and outcomes.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be determined upon award but is expected to span multiple months or years based on the ongoing needs of the Ann Arbor VAMC.
