Specialized Reference Laboratory Testing for VA Puget Sound Health Care System

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to establish a contract for specialized reference laboratory testing services for the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans, and this contract aims to ensure rapid response and continuity of care through reliable laboratory testing services.

The contract will be awarded as a Five-Year Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a minimum guarantee of $5,000.00 and a total capacity of $7,499,999.99.

Work Details
The contractor will provide specialized laboratory testing services for clinical purposes to determine illness and/or disease in veteran patients. Key tasks include:
1. Providing pricing for tests from the VA Puget Sound Health Care System with rapid turnaround times for results.
2. Performing laboratory tests as requested by VAPSHCS, ensuring specimens are processed according to appropriate storage temperatures and logged within 24 hours of receipt.
3. Issuing final reports on the same day tests are completed, with most tests completed within 72 hours.
4. Notifying VAPSHCS of any critical values within one hour and handling autopsy testing services as needed.
5. Maintaining compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and certification requirements as mandated by law.
6. Providing a dedicated courier service for daily specimen pickups and ensuring proper packaging and shipping according to regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be from December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2030.

The services will be performed at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System located at 1660 South Columbian Way, Seattle WA 98108-1532.
