Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network Contracting Office 4, is issuing this solicitation for Anatomic Pathology testing services to be performed at the Wilkes Barre and Philadelphia VA Medical Centers.

This procurement aims to provide comprehensive laboratory services to support the healthcare needs of veterans.

Work Details
Contractors are required to provide a firm fixed price based on each facility's estimated testing usage.

The services include a full range of referral laboratory services for Anatomic Pathology such as surgical pathology, molecular pathology, cytopathy, histology, histochemistry, hematopathology, immunohistochemistry stains, cytochemical stains, flow cytometry, FISH testing, cancer marker testing, diagnostic electron microscopy, and other esoteric testing.

Basic services shall include: transportation/shipping of specimens to the contractor’s laboratory; performance of technical/professional procedures; return of stained slides; reporting results; and consultative services as required.

The contractor must ensure security for specimens and comply with all applicable regulations regarding shipping and handling. Additionally, the contractor must provide documentation of a current CLIA License for Pennsylvania and Delaware and ensure that their laboratory is accredited by either the College of American Pathologists or The Joint Commission.

Period of Performance
The ordering period for this contract is from September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple locations including the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center located at 1111 East End Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 and the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center located at 3900 Woodland Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
