Prosthetics Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical LONG TERM storage, delivery and pick-up, and all other services for the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center Jackson MS 39216

Background
The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, part of the VISN 16 VA Healthcare Network, requires Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME) services.

The goal of this contract is to provide long-term storage, delivery, pick-up, and maintenance services for DME/HME to eligible Veterans and their caregivers. This contract aims to ensure that Veterans receive necessary medical equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive services including:
1. Delivery and pick-up of DME/HME;
2. Receiving, storage, set-up, assembly, take-down, disassembly, installation, instructions, sanitizing, repair, and maintenance of VA-owned DME/HME;
3. Repair of mobility devices such as manual wheelchairs and power scooters;
4. Safety inspections and in-service training for Veterans on equipment functionality;
5. Compliance with The Joint Commission standards or equivalent accreditation;
6. Emergency setup and management of DME/HME services as requested;
7. Maintenance of detailed records for each Veteran regarding all items picked up and delivered;
8. Provision of loaner equipment if repairs cannot be completed within thirty days;
9. Adherence to infection control policies and emergency preparedness plans.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center located at 1500 E Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson MS 39216, as well as at affiliated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across Mississippi.
