Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians / Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants) to provide services at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN. The solicitation is competed under the authority of 38 U.S.C 8153 and VA Directive 1663 in conjunction with Part 12 and 15.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor necessary to furnish onsite Emergency Medicine Physician Services and Advanced Practice Provider Services. This includes evaluation, emergent treatment, stabilization, inpatient admissions, consultation and referral responsibilities, orthopedic device application, medication administration, discharge education, communication of test results, administrative duties, QA/QI documentation, EHR documentation procedures, patient safety compliance and reporting, and customer service.
The contractor is also responsible for meeting specific qualifications and standards of care outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base period is from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. There are also four option periods available for subsequent years.

Place of Performance
Services shall be provided on site at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center located at the corner of Lamont and Dogwood in Mountain Home, TN.
