CCN Next Gen Medical Network - East

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of market research for a potential procurement to acquire contractor services to develop and maintain a national network of high-performing, licensed medical providers and practitioners.

The goal is to streamline VA’s community care programs through the Community Care Network Next Generation (CCN Next Gen) program, which aims to provide enhanced community medical care services such as appointment scheduling, case management, and other innovative healthcare practices. This initiative is part of the VA's effort to ensure that Veterans receive timely and effective healthcare when local VA medical centers are unable to meet their needs.

Work Details
The Contractor shall develop and maintain a robust medical provider network that delivers standard medical services including medical, surgical, complementary and integrative services, durable medical equipment, and pharmacy.

The Contractor will also implement a Quality Assurance Program and Plan (QAP) to ensure performance requirements are met. Key tasks include:
1) Developing a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to address performance issues;
2) Submitting Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) detailing work summaries, schedule elements, risks, customer service outcomes, claims processing outcomes;
3) Conducting Service Organization Control (SOC) audits;
4) Developing an Annual Training Program for network providers;
5) Implementing an outreach and education program for network providers;
6) Ensuring compliance with VA policies regarding opioid prescriptions and other healthcare guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period following the award date, with ongoing assessments of performance and quality throughout its duration.
