Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide primary care services through a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) dedicated to Veterans, primarily in Escondido, California.
This clinic will be associated with the VA San Diego Health Care System (VASDHS) located in La Jolla, California.
The goal of this contract is to enhance healthcare access for Veterans in the Escondido area.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, including handling patient-specific medication-related requests and ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
The contractor must provide space and support staffing as outlined in the performance work statement.
Key tasks include:
- Entering requests for radiology procedures into the VA EHR and ensuring clinical appropriateness.
- Managing interpretation of radiology results by VA Radiologists within specified timeframes.
- Utilizing MUSE-compatible EKGs interfaced with the VA EHR Imaging for ECG services.
- Providing a bladder scanner for clinical assessments at the CBOC.
- Handling laboratory services including entering orders into the VA EHR, specimen collection, processing, and transportation according to established protocols.
The contractor is also responsible for maintaining documentation of training for packing hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with VASDHS policies.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be at the Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Escondido, California, under the jurisdiction of the VA San Diego Health Care System.
