Description

The Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 intends to establish a Home Oxygen Service Contract in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Please see attached documents for detailed information.

The Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 aims to establish a Home Oxygen Service Contract to support veterans with respiratory needs. The contract is aligned with the VA's mission to provide comprehensive healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform home visits by a Respiratory Therapist for initial setup of ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP systems within four hours of notification. Follow-up visits are scheduled at 24 hours, 72 hours, and one week post-setup.

The contractor must notify local power companies about patients using life support systems at home. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for coordinating services for veterans traveling outside the contract's jurisdiction and managing equipment logistics, including VA-owned and contractor-owned equipment. Fire Safe Thermal Fuses are included in CLIN 0025 for ventilator supplies. The contractor must provide cylinders without demurrage charges for the contract's duration.

Period of Performance
The contract period aligns with the indefinite loan period of cylinders, not exceeding the term of the contract.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed across various VA Medical Centers within VISN 17, including West Texas facilities.
