Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) utilizes licensed physicians and psychologists for medical consulting services, primarily involving the independent review of disability claims. The goal is to assess impairment severity based on SSA's Program Operations Manual System.

Work Details
Contractors will perform independent case reviews to determine the accuracy of medical assessments in disability claims. They will provide consultative services related to their specialization, participate in presentations and policy development, assist in orientation programs, and provide expert services for litigation or disputes.

Tasks include reviewing medical evidence, composing assessments, attending meetings, and reporting suspected fraud.

Period of Performance
The contract spans from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2025. It is divided into a base period and four ordering periods, each lasting one year.

Place of Performance
Services are performed on-site at government facilities or remotely from the contractor's residence after orientation.
