Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing a solicitation for 56 Regional Medical Consultants under a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement in Region 9, San Francisco. The goal is to provide medical consulting services to support SSA's disability determination processes.

Work Details
The contractor will perform tasks using a computer, including sending and receiving emails, conducting research, and creating documents and spreadsheets. Key skills required include knowledge of basic computing concepts, ability to perform operating system functions such as file management, secure use of computers, proficiency in common software applications like word processing and spreadsheets, internet access and electronic communication skills, and adaptability to changes in SSA systems.

Contractors must submit monthly work calendars, respond to communications within 24 hours, complete case reviews within specified timeframes, maintain a substantive accuracy rate of 90.6%, and adhere to SSA's quality review criteria. Additional responsibilities include maintaining workspace cleanliness if working onsite at the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, CA.

Period of Performance
The Blanket Purchase Agreement is valid from the date of award through December 31, 2025. The total potential effective period is 60 months from the award.

Place of Performance
Services shall be performed primarily at the contractor’s residence or assigned place of performance. On-site work may be required at the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, CA.
