Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking contractors to provide Regional Medical Advisor services for its Chicago Regional Office. The SSA utilizes licensed contract physicians, psychologists, and other professional health care providers to make informed decisions on disability policy and individual disability cases.

Work Details
Contractors will perform quality assurance reviews of case review work performed by Regional Medical Contractors (RMCs) or Disability Determination Service Medical Consultants (DDS MCs). They will conduct independent case reviews and provide a broad range of medical consulting services. Tasks include examination and analysis of RMC case reviews to ensure compliance with SSA policies, independent case reviews to assess the accuracy of medical assessments, and non-case services such as policy development consultation and participation in workgroups. Contractors must maintain a substantive accuracy rate of at least 93% and adhere to SSA's rules and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract spans five ordering periods:
- Base Year from February 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022;
- Ordering Period One from February 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023;
- Ordering Period Two from February 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024;
- Ordering Period Three from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025;
- Ordering Period Four from February 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services are primarily performed at the Chicago Regional Office located at Harold Washington Social Security Center (HWSSC), Chicago, IL. Contractors may also work remotely from their primary residence.
