Purchase of a GC/MS Instrument for NIST   2

Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), specifically the Material Measurement Laboratory (MML) and Biomolecular Measurement Division (BMD) located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is responsible for developing chemical databases to support its mission of collecting, compiling, evaluating, publishing, and selling standard reference data as mandated by Public Law 90-396.

The Mass Spectrometry Data Center (MSDC), part of the BMD, develops the NIST/NIH/EPA Mass Spectral Library and other specialized libraries. This project aims to enhance the capabilities of the MSDC by acquiring a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) system to facilitate the expansion of these libraries.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide one Agilent brand name GC-MS System, specifically the 5977C Inert Plus MSD Turbo EI Bundle and 8890B Series GC. Additionally, one Agilent Autosampler consisting of a 7693A Autoinjector and a 7693 Tray with a capacity for 150 vials is required.

The following items must be included:
- Mass Spectrometer: 1 unit (Part Number: G7077CA)
- Gas Chromatograph: 1 unit (Part Number: G3540A)
- Autosampler: 1 unit (Part Number: G4513A) plus Tray (Part Number: G4514A)
- Integrated software for managing sample lists on one PC
- Computer system: 1 unit
- LaserJet printer: 1 unit
- Set of consumables including Installation Kit (Part Number: 19199M)

The Contractor is also responsible for installation, training, and providing a warranty for the equipment.
