Purchase and Delivery of Bulk Rock Salt

Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking to procure bulk rock salt for snow and ice removal operations at its facilities in Baltimore, MD. This requirement is part of the agency's efforts to ensure safe access to its facilities during winter weather conditions.

Work Details
The SSA requires the purchase and delivery of 600 to 700 tons of Bulk Rock Salt (Sodium Chloride) (NaCl). The salt must be made with nearly 100% Sodium Chloride, with no specific industrial type or grade required.

Deliveries must be made in dump trucks, as super sacks, bags, or plastic containers are not acceptable. The salt will be unloaded into SSA's salt domes, and delivery coordination will be managed by the SSA Technical Point of Contact specified in the purchase order.

Deliveries are to occur by October 1st, 2026, and will be FOB Destination to the SSA facility located at 6401 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21235-0001. Inspection and acceptance of the product will take place at the destination.
