Background
The Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division intends to issue a sole source extension of up to six months to the current ordering period of an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract, 70RFP119DE4000004 with Hana Industries, Inc. This extension is necessary to provide continued armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at various IRS Service Center locations throughout Covington and Florence, KY.

The government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), indicating that only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements. This action is not a request for competitive proposals.

Work Details
The requirement is to provide armed PSO services at federally owned, leased, or occupied facilities at various IRS Service Center locations throughout Covington and Florence, KY. The contractor, Hana Industries, Inc., will provide all necessary management, supervision, personnel, materials, supplies, and equipment. They will also plan, schedule, coordinate, and ensure effective performance in accordance with the statement of work.

The extension will allow for an adequate transition period for the new follow-on contract while ensuring uninterrupted security services during this time.

The period of performance for this extension is from December 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026.
