Background
The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi has a requirement to replace waterproofing on the roof of office spaces block at Enclave Compound. This project aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the roofing system by installing a two-ply modified bitumen protected membrane system under thermal insulation and concrete pavers, adhering to U.S. standard roof industry practices.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Replace waterproofing on the main roof (697 square meters) and overhang area (100 square meters).

2. Install a two-ply modified bitumen protected membrane system, including:
- Secondary Roof Ply (750 sq mtr): 3mm thick smooth APP modified bitumen; 'STP' by Shalimar Tar Products.
- Base & Top Ply (1200 sq mtr): 4mm thick smooth APP modified bitumen; 'STP' by Shalimar Tar Products.
- Flashing Top Ply (330 sq mtr): 4mm thick granule APP modified bitumen; 'STP' by Shalimar Tar Products.

3. Demolish existing waterproofing layers and concrete support structures as necessary, ensuring proper disposal of debris and recycling where possible.

4. Provide scaffolding to access the pitched roof safely, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Period of Performance
Construction is expected to take place over a period of 120 days on site, starting from the Notice to Proceed which is issued within 10 days of submittal approval.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must provide personnel, materials, equipment, and supervision for project completion. They must also submit pre-construction submittals including cut sheets, brochures, and material samples for approval before use on the project. Contractors are required to have appropriate licenses and bonding as per local regulations.
