Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is responsible for protecting federal facilities and personnel, as mandated by Title 40 U.S.C. §1315. The agency's mission includes ensuring the safety and security of critical infrastructure against threats such as terrorism and workplace violence.

The current justification is for the continuation of Protective Security Officer (PSO) services provided by Paragon Systems, Inc. in various locations throughout the New England territory, which is deemed essential for maintaining operational continuity during a transition to a follow-on task order.

Work Details
The contract extension aims to provide armed PSO services at federal facilities across the New England territory. Paragon Systems, Inc. is currently performing under a six-month extension authorized via J&A FY24-00341, set to end on March 31, 2025.

To ensure uninterrupted security services while finalizing a competitive follow-on task order, FPS AD seeks approval for an additional four months of service, extending the ordering period from April 01, 2025, through July 31, 2025. This extension allows time for the new vendor to train and meet all requirements prior to assuming duties without degrading security operations.
