Description

Provide Prosthetic and Orthotic Services at FMC Lexington.

SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER SUBMISSION OF QUOTE. IF PROPER QUOTE SUBMISSION INFORMATION/DOCUMENTS (PER SECTION 5.1) ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE QUOTE MAY BE DEEMED AS NON-COMPLIANT, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CONTRACTING OFFICER.

This is NOT a new requirement. The previous contract was awarded to MOTC Louisville, LLC. dba Transcend Orthotics and Prosthetics (now Hanger Clinics) on October 01, 2020, with an expiration date of September 30, 2025 in the amount of $1,271,750.00.

It is the responsibility of the offeror to continuously monitor this site,throughout the duration of the solicitation, for possible updates and/or changes to the requirement.

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing this solicitation for the provision of Prosthetic and Orthotic Services at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington, Kentucky. The BOP's mission is to provide essential medical, dental, and mental health services to federal offenders. This contract aims to ensure that the Adult in Custody (AIC) population at FMC Lexington receives necessary prosthetic and orthotic care, consistent with community standards. The contractor must be located within a 75-mile radius of FMC Lexington.

Work Details
The contractor will provide professional medical services in the field of prosthetics, orthotics, and orthopedic footwear installation. Services include:
- Custom fitted orthopedic shoes (25 pairs annually)
- Foot orthotics (20 pairs annually)
- Knee orthosis (5 each annually)
- Ankle/foot orthosis (12 each annually)
- Above-knee prosthesis (5 each annually)
- Below-knee prosthesis (4 each annually)
- Prosthetic liners (15 each annually)
- Custom fitted compression garments (5 each annually)
- Repairs/adjustments/modifications/replacement parts on an annual dollar value estimate basis.

The contractor will conduct evaluations, fittings, and adjustments as needed. Invoices must detail specific items provided as per the contract requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of performance from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, with four optional renewal periods of one year each.
