Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is conducting market research for the provision of Prosthetic and Orthotic Services at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington, Kentucky.

The BOP's mission is to provide essential medical, dental, and mental health services to federal offenders. This contract aims to ensure that professional medical services are available for the Adult in Custody (AIC) population, adhering to community standards and regulations. The contractor must be located within a 75-mile radius of FMC Lexington.

Work Details
The contractor will provide professional medical services in prosthetics, orthotics, and orthopedic footwear installation. Services include:
- Custom fitted orthopedic shoes (25 pairs annually)
- Foot orthotics (20 pairs annually)
- Knee orthosis (5 each annually)
- Ankle/foot orthosis (12 each annually)
- Above-knee prosthesis (5 each annually)
- Below-knee prosthesis (4 each annually)
- Prosthetic liners (15 each annually)
- Custom fitted compression garments (5 each annually)
- Repairs/Adjustments/Modifications/Replacement Parts as needed.

The contractor will conduct evaluations, measurements, and fittings for AICs, submitting itemized lists of recommended appliances for approval. The work schedule consists of 24 sessions per year, with flexibility based on demand.

Period of Performance
The contract includes one base year and four option years, totaling five years.
