Description

Under the contemplated contract, the contractor will provide assistance to the Government inmaintaining the MMIII weapon system. Work will be in areas such as sustaining engineering,maintenance engineering, aging surveillance, manufacturing or modification of systems andequipment, software maintenance, developmental and production engineering, production,procurement, repair, refurbishment, etc. of Propulsion Subsystem components and related supportequipment. This effort also includes scope for compatibility with existing or future MMIII sustainmentsystems or programs. Additionally, this contract will include demilitarization and disposal tasks insupport of the retirement of the MMIII weapon system.

IAW FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to award this contract on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSS) through its ATK Launch Systems Inc. operating division.
