Background
The solicitation is for the Hospital Modernization project at Misawa Air Base, Japan, issued by the Department of the Air Force, 35th Fighter Wing (PACAF). The pre-proposal conference and site visit were conducted to enhance the exchange of information and understanding of the project requirements.

Work Details
The project involves modernizing the existing Misawa AF Hospital, including 225 square meters of new building additions, 1701 square meters of renovation, and temporary facilities during construction. The scope includes site work modifications, new addition footings and foundations, structure frame, exterior wall and roof construction, demolition of existing interior construction, new interior walls, ceilings, doors and finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communications and fire and life safety systems. The project also includes replacement mechanical systems for areas receiving no architectural renovation and communication, fire and life safety systems throughout the entire hospital. The performance period is 1200 calendar days including 30 calendar days mobilization.
